This product does not contain a sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin while tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn. Overnight Gradual Tan
I was gifted a sample size of this product and thought it a good time to finally try a self-tanning product. Being fair skinned I am sometimes reluctant to try self-tanning products as I don’t know how dark the outcome will be. I applied a small amount to my face over a few nights and did find a gradual darkening tan occurring. The result was fairly natural looking and also evenly coloured. I did not find this product having an overpowering scent. It left my skin hydrated and smooth too. I was happy to see it as an Australian made product. I’ve decided not to continue its use though, as I love my natural skin tone.

Great for a natural look
I received this sample with my most recent rewards room in 2021.
I love the idea of having a little colour in my face, as I am fair and look pale without makeup on. You apply this sleep mask to very clean, dry skin ( so no skincare) and apply at night time. It’s also a sleep mask, not just a self tanner. It moisturises, hydrates and helps your skin look more radiant too. My skin was a nice colour after one use. It’s up to you how often you apply this. I am fair so maybe twice a week just to keep things looking natural and that way I can use my other skincare at night too like serums and night creams.

Self tanning sleep mask
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bondi sands pure self tanning sleep mask I received as a sample in the beauty rewards in December. Its suitable for all skin types. The product is Australian made. It builds a tan for the face. It hydrates the skin and is nourishing as well. Enriched with hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and vitamin C to provide hydration. Its vegan and cruelty free not tested on animals. The tube is a small 10ml sample size. It doesn’t have a fragrance and has been dermatologically tested. Leave on the skin for six to eight hours. It has cocoa and shea butter to give moisture to the skin. Its paraben and sulphate free. I like this product and would try it again.

Long lasting tan
I received a sample of this product at the last Rewards Room.
I used tanning products before but mainly on my legs, not on my face.
I decided to sample this tanning product on my tummy. Well, I’m happy I did that first. The colour is way too dark for my skin. While it is even and long lasting, I also like that it didn’t stain my clothes.
Good product, unfortunately not the right shade for me, my skin is quite fair.
I might mix it with my regular moisturizer and use it onto my legs ( easy to cover if anything goes bad), but not on my face.

Easy to use!
I received a sample of the Bondi Sands self tanning sleep mask as part of my rewards room purchase. I have used self tanning products before but never for my face. This is the first time I’ve seen a tanning and skincare product in one and I liked how creative it was. I applied the sleep mask at night after cleansing my face. I applied it all over using a small amount and it felt hydrating on my skin and it absorbed fairly well too. By the next morning my skin looked slightly more tan. I wasn’t expecting to see such quick results right away but it actually worked! I also like that the product contains vitamin C and hyaluronic acid so it’s like a two in one, tanning product and skincare. The tan is also subtle and won’t give off that fake look.

definitely tans you!
I bought this product as my first ever tanning product, and BOY was I tan in the morning. This product has a very VERY pungent smell when applying, and if left undisturbed for 8 hours, well, you’re an orange. This tan has no blue tones at all, and if you miss a spot due to it’s clear application, its very obvious. To mitigate the colour of this I mix it with some of my moisturiser, which ends up looking normal and better. This is a good product however, and I use it when my tan scrubs off my face just to add a bit more, but it is very dark.

Pure Self Tanning Sleep Mask 10ml
I loved that there was foil protecting and keeping sleep mask fresh. The sleep mask was transparent and a medium consistency, after cleansing and exfoliating my skin I applied the amount of a 10c piece to my face and neck. I made sure to massage the mask well into my skin and it absorbed really well (I then throughly washed my hands), my skin felt slightly warm and tingly for 5 minutes or so then that went away.
The next morning I was so pleased that my skin felt hydrated and after looking in the mirror I noticed my skin had a beautiful glow. I have never tanned my face like this before but I can’t imagine doing it any other way now I would highly recommend this as a way of tanning your face and I really like the glow of the tan with the added skincare benefits of the vitamin c (for brightening) , hyaluronic acid (for hydration) and vitamin e (for repair).

Overnight results
This is a self-tanning product for the face. It is a very light lotion with no fragrance. It isn’t just a tanning product though – Bondi Sands have put in some nice ingredients like cocoa butter, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, pure Vitamin C, Vitamin E. As you are supposed to not use other skincare when you’re using this product, it is good that they have also packed in some actives.
Application-wise, it didn’t irritate my skin and felt hydrating. I love that it is fragrance-free. It does apply clear on the skin so you need to keep track of where you’ve been and ensure that you’ve covered your face area avoiding the eyes.
I was very surprised that this product worked overnight. I was expecting any visible difference to take multiple applications but no. It imparts a very natural colour that isn’t orangey.
My only issue is that I have to drop my usual PM routine when I’m using this. But then again it works so quickly that you can alternate.
