Directions For Use

Wet face and hands with lukewarm water. Pump cleanser into hands, massage and rinse thoroughly.

Like new formula
Although different, I much prefer the new formula which is definitely a gentle cleanser. It leaves my skin soft with no residue and doesn’t dry my skin out. The old formula was lacking beneficial ingredients and was way too drying.

Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cleanser is really good for sensitive dry skin. It doesn’t strip the oils from your face or leave your skin feeling dry like some heaver cleansers do. On a down side, it wont remove thick liquid makeup or suncream very well so i’d use a stronger makeup remover first or wipes if I had those on my skin, followed by the extra gentle cleanser. However, it is an extra gentle cleanser so I wouldn’t expect it to remove those things. It will still remove light makeup or clean a sweaty face after a gym work out etc, while leaving my skin feeling clean but still hydrated.

Miraculous product for dry skin n milia.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser is one of those fantastic products that I have tried and loved immensely.
I used to have milia problem which got aggravated after face washes and soaps. But when I started trying this miraculous product my milia is slowly disappearing as this product has hydration capability in contrast to the other products I have been using previously.
Highly recommend this product if someone has dry skin or milia problem.
I have included this product in my beauty regime. Love it.

Skin has a new lease on life
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be honest I wasn’t expecting much as these days I feel like products over claim on what they do.
Initially I was unsure about the texture as I’m used to using a foam and thought I needed that “stripped” feeling on my skin to think it was clean. This definitely does not leave you with that feeling but after a weeks worth of using the product my skin is NOT dry, it’s smooth, soft and clear.
My skin can easily react to some products but this item is sage on sensitive skin.
I’ll definitely be repurchasing. Exceeded my expectations!

BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA
I am so sick of companies that rid the consumer of perfectly fine products and then replace them with useless alternatives. The old formula had a proper lotion milky texture and was just beautiful, I could use it twice a day and it even removed a light full face of makeup. Could be rinsed/tissued/cotton padded off. A really gentle soothing formula for normal to dry to sensitive skins. The new formula is not at all creamy, it is more of a strange, thick, gel texture. I feel like I’m cleaning my face with hair gel. While it does rinse clean and can remove light make-up the old formula had this difference, it actually nourished the skin with good ingredients like chamomile etc. This new formula is void of anything helpful for skin, it is a cleanser nothing more. What’s the point of changing the formula when this new formula already exists in new packaging in the US? which I doubt we will ever receive here in Australia, where we pay more for cosmetic goods already? Very shady, Neutrogena need to inform their consumers when they are going to discontinue a product and not just hope we will like it. BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!

Gentle on skin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I noticed about this product was the packaging. Neutrogena have toned down their branding. I liked it.
Upon opening it, I found it to have no overpowering perfume fragrance, which is rare these days.
The product lathered well and felt nice on my skin.
After 2 weeks of use, I have been impressed with how soft my skin is feeling and that I have had no breakouts since commencing use.
I have also noticed my skin is not as dry in areas it was before.
Would highly recommend for use with sensitive skin.

I love this cleanser
I have used this cleanser for the last 10 years. When my local stores stopped carrying it, I tried dozens if highly rated face washes. They all felt like they left a residue on my face. This is sooo gentle and smooth, like washing your face with milk. I stock up when I find it.

This new formula is a distaster for my skin
The old formula was fantastic and I used for years, this new formula has broken me out and made my skin red and itchy. Please bring back the old formula, the new one is awful.
