Absolutely adore this, fabulous product, love, love, love it. It’s super light to wear with the most gorgeous silky, fluid texture, it feels divine to apply, it spreads easily and sinks straight into my skin making my skin feel super soft and hydrated and with a gorgeous matte finish. This leaves my skin fresh all day, it prevents oiliness and shine and makes a beautiful base for makeup, making it also last longer. I love how the product makes my skin feel so fresh all day, I can’t honestly be without it as it gives my skin such a flawless finish. It won’t irritate sensitive skin, is great value and it really WORKS. LOVE it and highly recommend it, simply gorgeous.

On my day-to-day routine I typically bounce between the Toleraine Ultra Moisturiser and Ultra Light also by La Roche Posay. These moisturisers are my holy grail (HG), but upon trying the Effaclar Mat Moisturiser I feel it is just as nice to wear on the skin, if not even better suited especially in the Summer time when you want something light that doesn’t disrupt other skin/make up layers you will most likely put on top. It has a nice lightweight texture for my combination oily (and acne prone) skin and doesn’t break me out. Moving forward, I think I would repurchase the Effaclar Mat moisturiser to use as a daytime moisturiser in the summer and use Toleraine Ultra during the Winter.

I am a very big fan of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat. I cannot recommend it enough. I used this as a moisturiser and primer under my make up. It worked wonders! Typically toward the end of a day I find I start to feel quite shiny – often feeling I need to blot my face. Using this product as a primer I found I didn’t get this feeling and I loved it. The matte effect 100% works. It feels beautiful against your skin as well – just love it. A little definitely goes a long way with this product! I made the mistake of squeezing out too much on a few occasions. A pea size will absolutely do a whole face.

This is quickly becoming my favourite daytime moisturiser. It is so lightweight, absorbs very quickly, and like every other La Roche Posay product, has the most refreshing scent and a little product goes such a long way! It gave such a nice soft matte effect to skin and was the perfect base for under makeup. My only complaints are that the dryer patches of my combination skin felt a little too dehydrated with continual use of this product (but this was quickly fixed with a richer night cream) and a lack of spf. Overall, still a great product that I will definitely repurchase.

I think I have used all the products available in the Effaclar range, and I enjoy using them all. This one however is my least favourite. Do not get me wrong. It is a great moisturiser with a mattifying effect for oily and combination skins. In my opinion it just lacks a wow factor. It hydrates the skin, yes, it will never clog your pores, on the contrary, it might help to clear them, but it just does not mattify enough for me. And on top of that, it might not work well with some of the make up primers and foundations. It might pile on and ball up, and I hate this feeling. If it is used on its own, it is perfect. I suppose it is designed to be a day cream, as at night we do not need a matte effect, so it should be improved.

THis is definitely one of the best mattifying moisturisers I’ve used – it does what it says it will! I have really oily skin especially during these summer months, so I’ve been using this moisturiser after cleansing my skin in the mornings and it is the perfect makeup base! When I use this i don’t worry about primer because it helps keep my makeup at bay and reduces the amount of shine in my t zone. I have been using other skincare at night that are more nourishing / beneficial to skin so it’s a great combo mixing between the two. The packaging is really simple but I love it because it’s practical for travelling and storage. The formula really lightweight and I haven’t hadn’t any issues with breakouts. Definitely recommend for those with oily skin!

Wow! Cannot recommend this product enough. I have been using similar products from different brands but only receiving half the benefits. This product definitely works. Love the matte effect on my skin and how it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, My skin looks a lot less oiler after application and also further into the day. I did notice an improvement in my skin and less breakouts. Also great as a primer under my makeup 100% recommend and will repurchase once finished. Glad I have this product as part of my skincare routine.

This product really does do wonders. I wanted to really concentrate this product where I have larger pores initially to see how it worked. Using it on my nose and next to the nose on the inner cheek, and it worked so well. It pretty much immediately filled in pores and left a smooth canvas with no shine! It helped to really minimise the look of my pores. It blended in really well and didn’t leave any colour or residue. Using it all over the face gives an excellent make up base as it just smooths everything. I used it after I used the effaclar duo and together they worked well, it didn’t cause any breakouts or reactions. If you have oily skin with enlarged pores, I do highly recommend this product as a moisturiser and primer. It’s super affordable and does an amazing job.
