The La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 Serum is our first dermatological serum with 10% Vitamin B5.
With an efficient hydrating formula, the Cicaplast B5 serum has been specifically developed for dry skin prone to redness, and skin tightness or discomfort. When used daily, the dry skin serum helps hydrate and maintain the skin moisture barrier.
Enriched with a highly concentrated humectant Vitamin B5 to help increase hydration and reduce trans-epidermal water loss, the skin repair serum formula also contains HEPES to help stimulate skin renewal, reinforce the moisture barrier, and comfort skin. The formula includes ingredients that are known to support the skin against everyday environmental aggressors like air pollution, temperature changes, low humidity and dryness. It also helps with topical irritations such as over-use of active ingredients and superficial skin procedures. The combination of hydrating and repair ingredients is also beneficial for skin impacted by lifestyle changes (lack of sleep, stress, poor diet)

- Apply 1-2 drops of this serum for dry, sensitive skin both morning and evening on face and neck on freshly cleansed face and before moisturiser.
- Gently press onto the face and neck until the serum is fully absorbed
- Avoid repeatedly massaging the face serum in circles.

Try it if you have redness or acne scars!!
La Roche Posay is a reputed brand with skincare & this product is one of the best serums that I have tried.
I have a combination skin type & have been using serums lately to focus on acne spots & skin tightening. My routine includes Vitamin C, Azelaic Acid, Retinoids etc. I took a break from my 5-step routine & only applied this serum for 2 weeks. The product application is quite easy & a little product covers the full face.
My skin felt quite hydrated after 4 days & after 2 weeks I saw a visible difference in my acne scars and under eye area. The tightness of the skin was visible too. I did end up using it for a longer duration & felt great. My face looked brighter, no redness, reduced acne scars, tight skin & most important hydrated. My face looked healthy, just like a fresh face after a good facial.
I would recommend using the product for 3-4 weeks & taking a break & then start again.

Thick juicy hydrating serum
I quite like this serum because it’s very hydrating. It is white in colour and has a very light scent. I find the pipette to be a bit too thick and at times it struggles to pick up the thick juicy serum. The serum bottle comes with a lid which you take off and attach the pipette lid. I would prefer if the pipette came on the bottle. I find the 2 lids to be a waste. I like to use this serum as my day time serum as I find it soothing and calming. It’s a great winter serum. My skin type is combination and this is well suited to my skin and keeps me hydrated all day. Also if I ever get any dry areas on my face from using retinol this is the perfection skin saviour.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sampled La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 Serum on a whim and so glad I did! It doesn’t feel sticky on your face and I can honestly see and feel a difference.
I use an hour before bed to make sure its fully set in before hitting the pillow. I find it so much lighter and more comfortable than most oil based moisturisers. I have quite dry skin with freckles and im even noticing after using this product that my foundation even seems to cover more rather than sink into my skin.
I cant sing the praises of this product enough.

Hand down best syrum!
This is the best syrum, run and buy this. I have quite dry and sensitive skin and struggle to find products that don’t irritate my skin or cause redness. I use this syrum every morning and night after my shower and it honestly makes your skin glow. I have never had a reaction from it which is quite rare for me, and it makes your skin feel extremely hydrated and soft. This syrum is definitely worth the money, it lasts a long time because a little bit will go a long way on your face. If you suffer from dry and sensitive skin like me then I 100% reccomend that you try this product. It changed my skin completely and also helped clear it up.

Serum for Sensitive Skin
This serum comes in a 30ml glass bottle with a dropper, that in my opinion could have been improved if it wasn’t so wide. I found it troublesome to get a measurable amount of serum & often ended up with product on the lip of the bottle when trying to put the dropper back in. The thick white serum has a slight medicated/chemical scent that fades quickly after application. It glides on and absorbs within seconds to leave my face feeling and looking smoother & more even toned, with a non-sticky finish. It came with very limited instructions, so it was a bit of trial & error to see how best to layer it. I personally found it worked better by itself, as it occasionally resulted in piling when paired with some of my other skincare products. I found it worked well as a primer under my foundation though. It delivered on its promise to sooth red, irritated skin, but for me, it wasn’t hydrating enough on its own to stop the dry flaking skin building up by the end of the day. Overall, it is a nice serum for those who have reactive/sensitive skin, but personally I didn’t see enough positive, lasting results to justify the higher price tag which is why I subtracted a star.

Not great
I found this Cicaplast B5 Serum left my skin a little sticky after use. It did get better quite quickly but not at first. It does not have much of a fragrance which is good. Has vitamin B5 which is an added bonus. I think it is rather on the more expensive side of all serums and if you can afford it, it is worth a try. I like the container which is white but as the serums is used one cannot see how much is left in the bottle. I think it would be good for someone with sensitive or dry skin.

Soft and Hydrated Skin
I have been using the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 Serum as part of my skincare routine for the last few months morning and night after cleansing my skin. Using the pipette that comes with the serum separately then doubles as the lid I draw up enough to disperse 1-2 drops and gently massage it into my skin. The serum is cloudy white in colour, there is a mild scent and it is lightweight in consistency it absorbs beautifully (it isn’t sticky) and quickly leaving my skin feel soft and hydrated. I only had to wait 30 seconds or so before following with my day or night moisturiser. My skin feels so much softer, it feels and is visibly much more hydrated and moisturised then it was before using this serum. I am eager to see after prolonged use if it will provide any any further results for my skin.

Noticeable improvements
Even though the texture of the serum is thick it’s very light on the skin. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. It’s cooling and comfortable and is very easily absorbed by my skin. It blends like a dream. I did notice that it has a smell even though it says it’s fragrance free. The smell is very light though and it didn’t cause any irritation to my skin. After about a week of using this serum I noticed how much softer my skin had become and noticed how effective it is at moisturising my skin and then after 2 more weeks I noticed my skin doesn’t look dull anymore and looks extra youthful and smooth. I haven’t had any breakouts since I started using this serum too which is amazing for me because I normally do have a few around my chin and jaw. I think this serum is fantastic because I was able to achieve some noticeable improvements to my skin in a short period of time.
