Liked the original formula better
I don’t understand why you changed the formula. The original formula was much nicer. This new formulation is heavier, stickier and smells different (it’s not necessarily bad, but its slightly off putting and plastic-y?). I really loved the old formulation, it applied smoother and sunk into the skin nicer. It wasn’t so sticky and it didn’t have a weird smell. Really disappointing because this formula just doesn’t really work for me now. Although, I am going to try the lighter ‘Moisturising Lotion’ in this range after I have finished this bottle but if that is similar to this version then I’ll have to look for another moisturiser.

Not as good since the formulation changed.
I have been using Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion for more than ten years and it has been my go to moisturiser. About a year ago, I noticed that the formulation was changed. The lotion’s texture and feel were different, with what feels like a larger amount of glycerin. It now feels more like a much cheaper version of Sorbolene.
I have also noticed that it leaves my skin feeling rough and in need of exfoliation more often. The previous formulation left my skin soft and smooth instead.
A message to Cetaphil: please change the formulation back to what it was before. It was much better than it is now.

Super hydrating lotion
I love this for when my skin feels super dry, especially in winter. It’s really hydrating and great for legs, arms and very dry areas like elbows and heels. I love that it’s non greasy as I hate greasy feeling lotions, it’s quite silky and sinks straight in to skin. The packaging is great and the handy pump bottle means no mess which I like. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to fix very dry skin because it repairs and intensely hydrates skin. It’s a good price so I can afford to slather this lotion on for beautiful smooth silky skin. Love it and would recommend it

As with any skin care product, be cautious
I bought this moisturised when I was dealing with extreme sensitivity and a slight retinol burn. At that time it didn’t help, and made my skin react immediately and flare up, my whole face turned red and felt like I had a very bad, severe sunburn so I had to wash it off and cease using it. I’ve come back to this a couple of months later, and even tho I felt slight discomfort, I didn’t experience redness, until I put it on again the next day and my face turned red again, felt like it was burning and had to wash it off again. I’m usually not sensitive to many things but there is something in this moisturiser that my skin just cannot handle. Just a reminder that there is NO product out there that will be a fit for everyone.

my skin gets really itchy after using it.
I normally have combination skin but during winter time, my skin is really dry so I try Cetaphil which claim that their product is hypo-allergenic* well I was not impress with it cause my skin get really itchy right after I applied on my face. at the same time i still use the oil control foam wash which really good. I wish they can explain the allergic reaction to me briefly

Changed formula
I don’t like the new formula and I don’t understand why they changed it. I used to use Cetaphil moisturiser all the time on my face and body and loved it, but ever since the formula has changed, I don’t like it as much. The old formula was so light and soaked into my skin really well, but now it’s a lot heavier and sticky and niacinamide breaks me out.

Burning
I have been using cetaphil products and moisturisers in particular for a few years now as I have sensitive skin. I switched from one cetaphil moisturiser to this one and it burns my face. I thought it was just my skin being sensitive but I tested it with this on one side of my face and another moisturiser on the other and only the one side was burning. Something about this formula compared to their other formulas is making my skin burn, become extremely dry and sensitive

Protects your skin barrier
I’ve been using this regularly for a few years. I started after using too many ‘active’ skincare products and causing perioral dermatitis. This lotion moistured my skin without causing any irritation. The experience gave me a new appreciation of my skin just doing it’s job. I sometimes alternate this lotion with other moisturisers and I usually rotate a few serums, but this hydrating lotion and the Cetaphil gentle cleanser continue to be mainstays of my routine.
