A gentle one!
Another excellent serum for beginners as it causes no irritation whatsoever! This ultra-hydrating serum contains Granactive Retinoid 2% & Retinol 0.125% to help reduce wrinkles, uneven pigmentation & maintains skin elasticity. Also contains Bisabolol & Aloe Vera both of which are great ingredients for those with sensitive skin. My skin felt no irritation on using this serum. It hydrates the skin and you get up to fresher plumper face in the morning.
What I love the most about the @boostabco serums is that they are absorbed quickly into the skin without being tacky, are fragrance free, cruelty free and also sulphates & parabens free.

Great serum
This is a great serum for those who want to incorporate retinol into their routine! Best of all is that it does not cause any dryness, irritation or sensitivity. The serum comes in a glass bottle and it’s dispensed through a dropper. I use a couple of drops for my whole face right before bed. It’s hydrating and if you use a small amount it will absorb into your skin much easier than putting too much on. After using it for several weeks I noticed that my skin felt much smoother than before. My pigmentation was also starting to decrease and become less noticeable. If you do wear it in the day make sure to wear SPF with it as well as it can make your skin sensitive in the sunlight.

Great serum
A nice addition to my serum collection. I hadn’t used a retinol in quite some time but was looking to bring one back into my skincare routine. I had hears a but about boost lad and wanted to try.
It comes in a really nice glass bottle (feels like good quality) with a handy doppler to dispense the serum. I use this once or sometimes twice a week in the PM as part of my routine. It has a nice mild scent and the serum is a lovely consistency.
A little goes a long way as it smooths over really nicely. It isn’t drying and I haven’t had any reaction to it. I also feel like my skin is looking quite nice lately.

I read the reviews and wanted to try for myself
I bought this Night Renewal Serum with my November Rewards Room Points. This was after seeing the good reviews on Beauty Heaven. I have used retinol serum before. I am not sure that it does amazing things to my skin. My skin definitely looks brighter. It does not fade any of the small age or sun damage spots I have. I used this serum after cleansing and it soaked into my skin. With a tiny bit of patting by me. I always make sure to include my neck in my skincare routine. The yellow custard coloured serum makes it easy to see if it is all absorbed into my skins

Highly recommend Retinal Night Renewal Serum as it works for rough dry skin
I found the Retinol Night Renewal Serum made my skin so soft, and yes younger looking. The skin on my nose is so hard and rough from all the sunburn its received throughout my life, more so than the rest of my face, and no kidding this serum has made it soft and smooth. It didn’t happen over night, it did take a few weeks, but now I cannot stop touching it as it feels so good. It did not make my skin feel oily either. I have had a few complements lately and questions on what I am using on the on my face as my skin doesn’t look so old and rough now.

Custard like serum
I bought this 30 millilitres bottle of serum from
Big W. At under thirty dollars, it is a bargain. I like the yellow custard like consistency of this nighttime serum. I use around four drops per time. One for the forehead, one for each cheek and the final one for the neck. The glass dropper makes for an easy, mess free application onto my face and neck. I cleanse my face before and then apply my nighttime serum. As this is an easily absorbed serum, I can apply a thicker nighttime moisturiser to my face and décolletage.

Good but needs something extra to be competitive
This is Boost Lab’s night time retinol serum which contains 2% granactive retinoid and an undisclosed amount of pure retinol. Like Boost Lab’s other serums, it is housed in a glass bottle with a dropper with minimalist packaging and is fragrance-free. This retinol serum is water-based, featuring a non-irritating but effective retinoid (granactive retinoid or Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate). It is a milky yellow emulsion and has the typical retinol smell, which I don’t mind. The water-based texture is comfortable and absorbs quickly on my combination skin. There is zero irritation addition of glycerin makes it hydrating as well. I generally prefer this water-based texture as opposed to oil formulas. Some additional goodies in the formula are aloe vera, bisabolol and vitamin E. As I have been using stronger retinols for quite a while, I didn’t see visible improvements as such, but use this in between my stronger 1% retinol days, since I can’t apply the stronger retinol nightly without irritation.
This product is very similar in formula and texture to The Ordinary’s Granactive Retinoid 2% emulsion (not to be confused with the squalane version) and The Ordinary’s product was released years before Boost Lab was launched. The Ordinary’s formula has tasmannial lanceolata extract instead of aloe vera. In terms of texture, I like them both. However, Boost Lab’s offering is 30ml for $29.95. whereas The Ordinary is 30ml for $17.90. I feel that Boost Lab could’ve done more to their formula to not be almost the same as The Ordinary’s. At the moment I see no reason to choose Boost Lab’s version over The Ordinary’s.

Effective and great value
I have tried a few different retinol/retinoid products, and Boost Lab’s Night Retinol Renewal Serum is definitely one of the better ones. The serum goes on nicely with no stinging or irritation, feels light and is quickly absorbed into the skin, and there was a noticeable improvement in fine lines in just a few weeks. While it looks like yellow slime and doesn’t have a pleasant smell (on the plus side, this would suit those who can’t tolerate overly perfumed products), it is well worth it for effectiveness.
